While most people in their 20s enjoy going out to bars and partying with their friends, I don’t. Sure, I’ll go out once in a while to have a drink or just for a nice dinner, but I don’t do it every single weekend like some people I know.

What do I like to do? I like to make puzzles in my basement with my friends. You might think that that’s childish, but 1000 piece puzzles are not that easy to do and I doubt kids would take the time to actually sit and put it all together without getting frustrated.

There are people that I know who hate puzzles with a passion and they think that I’m crazy for “wasting my time” by sitting in my basement making puzzles. Yes, puzzles take a while to put together, but I like doing them. My friends help me construct them and as we do them, we play music or we talk about something, so it’s not boring.

I also enjoy making puzzles because the pictures are pretty. I could probably find the same pictures on Google, but somehow that just wouldn’t be the same. I really do enjoy making puzzles, but I also buy so many of them because I like how the picture looks.

When people come over to my house, they come down to the basement and they see a puzzle lying on the ground. Some reactions are, “oh that looks hard,” and other reactions are, “oh my god, why the hell are you wasting your time on that.” I give them a simple response: “I like making puzzles, sue me.”

As you can see in these pictures, I have done a variety of different puzzles. They’re all 1000 piece puzzles and I have others that are less pieces. I'll be posting pictures of those puzzles later on.

My friends and I are currently working on a 4000 piece puzzle. We’ve been working on it since the end of July and it’s not even halfway done. I’m not going to tell you what the picture is. You might be able to tell what it is based on the picture below, but if you want to see the finished product, tune in to this blog to find out!
